Hardware
One reader per machine.
The Rain Pay reader (a Dejavoo QD3) is a one-time purchase per machine. It connects over MDB cashless, takes tap, chip, and swipe, and feeds every card vend and DEX read into Dryline. Core is added to the order automatically.

How billing works
Simple on purpose.
Per active machine, monthly
Both tiers are metered on the machines that are live each month. Add a machine and it starts counting; retire one and it stops.
Processing included
Transparent flat processing, quoted with your order. Card-present processing runs through Rain Pay; there is no separate gateway to sign up for.
Nothing to lock you in
No activation fee, no contract, month to month. Your data is yours: every report exports to CSV, and inventory to a NAMA VDI 2.0 file.

Pricing, answered
- What counts as a machine?
- Any active vending machine on your account. Billing is metered monthly on your active machines, so a retired machine stops counting and a new one starts counting when it goes live.
- How do I buy Pro?
- Pro is an in-app upgrade for Core customers: it switches the whole organization to Pro at $34.95 per machine per month, prorated for the rest of the current cycle. It replaces Core, so there is one price per machine, not two. If you are not a customer yet, book a demo and we will start you on the right tier.
- What does card processing cost?
- Rain Pay processing is included with the solution rather than sold separately. The rate is flat and transparent, quoted with your order, with no processor to shop for and no separate gateway fee.
- Is there a contract or an activation fee?
- No contract and no activation fee. Plans are month to month and billed per active machine. The reader is a one-time purchase.
- Do I need new machines?
- No, provided your machines support MDB cashless, which most modern machines do. The Rain Pay reader connects over the MDB bus alongside the existing coin and bill acceptors. There is no retrofit for a machine that cannot take MDB cashless.
- Can I run more than one location?
- Yes. Core includes per-venue and fleet-wide reporting and reconciliation across all your locations. Pro adds cross-location benchmarking, routes across venues, and a central warehouse.
